ABOUT US
Hope 4 Kids Albania is a foundation dedicated to creating opportunities for a bright and dignified life for every child with pediatric cancer, wherever they live.
Founded in October 2025, the foundation is the result of a long-standing joint effort between parents of children with hematologic and oncologic conditions and the medical team of the Pediatric Onco-Hematology Clinic, established with the example, guidance, and support of leading international institutions such as SIOP International, SIOPE, the Princess Máxima Center, and St. Jude Global Alliance. Through its work, Hope 4 Kids Albania contributes to ensuring access to essential services, medications, equipment, and materials needed to meet modern standards of care for children with cancer — from diagnosis, treatment, and recovery to long-term follow-up. We are also deeply committed to supporting families of children with cancer as they face social and economic challenges, and to fighting the stigma that often surrounds the disease, by promoting inclusion and full integration of children and adolescents into society. This foundation was created in memory of Lisar, Luna, and all the children who could not win their battle against cancer — to become a source of courage and hope for every child and family facing the same journey, towards a brighter future.

Visit of the Dutch Ambassador
On September 13, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands visited the renovated Pediatric Onco-Hematology Service at University Hospital Center “Mother Teresa” during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. He saw the improved facilities, met the medical team, and learned about the challenges and steps toward European standards in pediatric cancer care. The visit also set the stage for future collaboration with the Princess Máxima Center in the Netherlands.
